Advancing Inclusive Family Health History
About
Our Initiative
The Inclusive Family Health Initiative is a collaborative effort to modernize how family history is collected, recorded, and applied in healthcare. We are working to ensure that patients from all family structures—including those formed through donor conception, adoption, and surrogacy—are accurately represented in electronic medical records and clinical tools. In partnership with healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocacy organizations, the initiative is developing evidence-based data standards and provider education to advance inclusive, patient-centered care that reflects the realities of modern families.
